Update to AWWU Work: Southbound Elmore Closure Extended to May 1

The Anchorage Water & Waste Water Utility (AWWU) is currently conducting repairs to the water main under the Tudor and Elmore intersection. Southbound Elmore was expected to experience a full closure through April 26. We have just been informed that AWWU's contractor has requested a 1-week extension of the southbound Elmore closure. This will carry the closure through at least May 1.

For questions or concerns contact AWWU.

Wells Fargo Sports Complex Renovation, May 4 to September 14

On May 4th the Wells Fargo Sports Complex will close for renovation.

During the summer the facility will not be accessible to the public. This includes the corridor that links the Rasmuson Hall to the Student Union. Pedestrian traffic must route around the southern side of the building (see the map below). Our goal is to reopen the upper level (corridor level) in time for the start of the fall semester; however, this is subject to change as the project conditions require. We will provide updates on this closer to August.

The overall project is expected to be completed by September 14th.
